I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Social and Political Science of the University of Milan, where I work on the so called ‘social crisis’ of Europe within the framework of the SOLID ERC-Project. I was previously Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute in Fiesole. I do research on, and I am in general interested in, comparative welfare state analysis, labour market policies and the politics of social policy, which I address through both quantitative and qualitative methods.

I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Research Training Group SOCLIFE (Universities of Cologne and Duisburg-Essen). I was InGrid Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Social Policy in Antwerp, and Jos Berghman Visiting Scholar at KU Leuven.
